In the light of the forthcoming proposals for amending the law, the fundamental question of mechanisms for the transmission of the highest power in the state is being raised in public space. The changes considered may introduce a fresh institution into the Polish legal system, which is intended to guarantee greater stableness and safety of the process of taking office by the recently elected head of state.
