Hungary has become an antithesis of everything the European Union is presently doing," said Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Thursday in the Ultrahang podcast. He added that in an increasingly visible gap between Europe and the US, he advocated the United States.
The Hungarian Prime Minister stated that the "transatlantic divide" divides the planet into a progressive-liberal Europe and a conservative-national part under the leadership of the US. Orban pointed out that another difference between them is that "Europe advocates war in Ukraine and the US advocates peace".
The Prime Minister acknowledged that he "has greater confidence" in the United States, where Republican governments will not end with president Donald Trump, as his work will proceed with current Vice president JD Vance.
The Hungarian leader besides referred to his country's EU membership, saying that "there is theoretically a point beyond which it is no longer worth being part of the Community". – I can now promise voters that if I see that presence in the EU has lost sense, I will take appropriate action – he said, adding that “he does not see specified a point at the moment”.
