American Congressman Joe Wilson called on US president Donald Trump to respond to Russia's actions. He described the repeated breach of the Polish airspace as a “act of war” and called for sanctions to be imposed that would bankrupt Russia. Wilson stressed that Russia attacked NATO's ally, Poland, utilizing the Iranian Shahed drones, only a week after the president of Nawrocki visited the White House, and expressed his gratitude to NATO's allies for reacting rapidly to this unprovoked aggression.

Donald Trump was asked by journalists about the situation with Russian drones over Poland, but did not comment. According to American correspondent RMF FM Paweł Żuchowski, the president heard a question coming from a restaurant close the White House, and so far the White home has not issued an authoritative position on the matter.

Wilson has been in the home of Representatives for 24 years and is presently the co-chair of the Helsinki Commission, an organ of the US legislature consisting of members of both chambers of parliament. The Commission deals with human rights, democracy and another issues related to the activities of the Organisation for safety and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
