Iran agreed that it would never get atomic weapons," US president Donald Trump said today. He said that the negotiations with Tehran were attended, among others, by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice president J.D. Vance.
Donald Trump explained that the "sensical" approach of the authorities in Iran prompted him to quit hitting Iranian power plants.
– It all starts with the fact that they cannot have atomic weapons [...]. I was asked what are the top 10 points (agreements). I said, well, number one, 2 and 3 are: they can't have atomic weapons and they won't have atomic weapons, and that's what we're talking about. I don't want to talk in advance, but they agreed that they would never have atomic weapons," said Donald Trump while talking to journalists.
He noted that talks with the Iranians were inactive ongoing, and in addition to his envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, they were attended by State Secretary Marco Rubio and Vice president J.D. Vance.
