"We call on Israel to keep the moratorium for both execution and death punishment ruling" - wrote the Polish Ministry of abroad Affairs on Wednesday, referring to the law passed on Monday by Tel Aviv establishing the death punishment for Palestinians convicted of terrorism.

The Ministry of abroad Affairs in the release stressed that Poland "consistently stands in the position that Israeli-Palestinian conflict most of the safety risks in the region cannot be addressed another than by road negotiations conducted in good religion and in compliance with global law".
Therefore, the ministry called Israel to "maintenance of the moratorium both for execution and death punishment ruling". "We argue the death punishment in all cases and circumstances. On Monday, a law was passed in Israel establishing the death punishment for those convicted of terrorism Palestinians from the West Bank of Jordan. The law was condemned by human rights organisations and Palestinian leaders. The law requires execution of the death punishment by hanging within 90 days of a court-martial sentence without the right to be pardoned, but besides allows the anticipation of a life conviction alternatively of a death penalty.
