Importing cars from the US fell by 72% year-on-year as trade duties collect their toll

The duties imposed by current U.S. president Donald Trump seemingly began to hit the American car marketplace hard. According to the Automotive News report, car imports decreased by 72% in May 2025 compared to May 2024.
