The biggest stir was caused by a recording showing the hit of An-26 standing on an airfield plate in the Nikolay region. According to Russian sources, the device was about 80 kilometres from the combat region and was not preparing to take off. The impact was to take place straight on the apron of the airport, which undermines the existing assumptions regarding the safety of the air base.
