There were 2 main hardware variants in Ukraine for radio communications, namely Harris radio stations (Falcon 3) and Motorola. Harris' radio stations are acquainted to us, so we're not going to focus besides much on their pros and cons. It is worth mentioning that the Ukrainians had a limited number of these radio stations, which resulted in their usage in peculiar activities or as a spare company level - battalion. I did not observe the usage of tac-sat antennas.
Radio communications were based on Motorola radio stations mainly DP (portable) and DM series (‘onboard’). It should be noted that there is simply a variety of models associated with the fact that radio stations were frequently donated by volunteers or bought for their own funds in the company or battalion. At the beginning of the war there were besides uncoded radios, but we will decision on to these a small later.
