The war in Ukraine is the first always real “drone war”, understood as a conflict in which both sides have akin capabilities in this regard. From this perspective, all conflicts to date were asymmetrical, that is, the capabilities and method level of the 2 fighting forces in terms of unmanned aircraft and their combat varied considerably. The conclusions that flow from the Russian-Ukrainian confrontation are clear. Unmanned aircraft play a key function in the modern battlefield and are an indispensable component of the armament of modern armed forces.
