Tusk recreated 10 ABW Delegations liquidated by Szydło

Minister of peculiar Services Coordinator Tomasz Siemoniak announced the reconstruction of the Delegations of the interior safety Agency liquidated under the Law and Justice. The decision entered into force on 1 July 2024 on the second anniversary of the parliamentary elections.

The activities of ABW delegations in 10 cities have been restored: Bydgoszcz, Krakow, Łódź, Olsztyn, Opole, Radom, Rzeszów, Szczecin, Wrocław and Zielona Góra. These facilities were liquidated by the government of Beata Szydło in 2017.

Criticism of the erstwhile government

"The immense mistake of Prime Minister Szydło was corrected, which in 2017 eliminated 10 of the 16 ABW delegations" - wrote Siemoniak on Wednesday. The Minister stressed that this was 1 of the most crucial corrective decisions of the current government.

The agency needs strong structures throughout Poland, as the Minister argues. It is peculiarly crucial to strengthen the presence of ABW in regions due to expanding safety risks.

Role in State Defense

The ABW plays a key function in the fight against diversion acts on behalf of abroad services and as a counterintelligence service. The restoration of regional delegations is intended to strengthen the agency's operational capacity throughout the country.

Siemoniak covered his entry with hashtags "We Do NieGadamy" and "15xBetter", referring to the run slogans of the Civic Coalition. This is part of Donald Tusk's wider communication strategy.
