The prosecution has late requested the waiver of immunity and the provisional arrest of Zbigniew Ziobra. On Thursday it turned out that the erstwhile Minister of Justice met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
"Justice for Poland! Poland's right hand won a immense triumph in the presidential election. Since then, the pro-European, pro-Brussel government in Poland has been conducting a political witch hunt against it" - wrote the Prime Minister of Hungary under a photograph from Ziobro. It caused an avalanche of comments.
Tusk and Ziobro are fighting... rhymes. Others joined
"Or in custody, or Budapest," wrote Prime Minister Donald Tusk. It was only the beginning of rhymes. "In 2 years at the latest, pack your bags – either to Berlin or to prison," Ziobro replied.
Tomasz Trela joined: "You rhyme nicely and yet you don't get it. Manats and grates, it's your time to do time."
Supporters of both political sides have picked up this exchange and the conflict for rhymes continues. "They mean nothing to Trela's clubs. Donald T. goes to his cell." "And this time will not pass quickly, and yet another PiSiors will leave"; "From Budapest to detention, from Brussels to cell" continued another X users.
Let us remind you that the case of Zbigniew Ziobra has late warmed up the Polish political scene. The politician is under serious charges. Investigators say he was to direct an organized crime group and claim money from the Justice Fund (e.g. to acquisition Pegasus).
A spokesperson for the National Prosecutor's Office Anna Adamiak explained that the group founded by Ziobra was to consist of officials and employees of the Ministry of Justice and people associated with the beneficiaries of the Justice Fund. In the course of 26 crimes, the group was to claim over PLN 150 million from the Fund.
