Trump is fighting for the US car industry. He's imposing more tariffs

U.S. president Donald Trump announced April 2 that he will impose 25 percent tariffs on all cars and light trucks imported from abroad. This is simply a tenfold increase. The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced that the European Union will measure Donald Trump's announcement. A consequence to the fresh US tariffs was announced by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
