The police at the Kielce traffic police have issued a ticket for an older female to walk through the road at a red light. A woman, despairing, explained to them that the amount of the mandate represents half of her monthly food expenses. The full event was recorded, which led the police to effort to explain.
At the outset, it should be noted that the punishment for passing on red light is absurd to restrict individual freedom.
How do you punish individual for crossing the road erstwhile there's no traffic? Poles are utilized to this absurd provision, but for most of the civilized planet it is incomprehensible – adequate travel to the West of Europe to experience normality in this matter.
Recently in Kielce, an aged female has become a victim of absurd regulations. The police punished her with a fine of PLN 200 for crossing a red light.
The old woman was distraught, explaining to the uniforms that this amount represents a immense expense to her. “This is half of my pension for food,” she said.

The misfortune of the police was that the full event was recorded, which led the net users to support the senior.
Then the police began to explain themselves, but their explanations further highlighted the absurdity of the system.
“Police officers on work are obliged to respond to, among another things, offences. As regards the amount of the punishment mandate for failure to comply with the traffic signals by pedestrians, the tariffmaker provides for 1 and equal to all road traffic participants – 200 PLN – said Mr. Małgorzata Perkowska-Kiepas, press officer of KMP in Kielce in an interview with o2.
Further, the police spokeswoman said, "In the case of a road accident involving pedestrians and a vehicle, it is the man who usually suffers serious injuries and in the most tragic events loses his life. erstwhile examining this situation, life, wellness and mandate should be put on the line. It's not hard to guess what's more important. Even more so, it happens that any drivers do not apply to light signals, which could lead to tragedy.
The female was punished for allegedly endangering her own life – not due to the fact that she posed a threat to individual else, but only because, as already mentioned, she allegedly put herself in danger. What is more, she was punished after she found that nothing bad had happened, that is, she was actually able to measure the situation and safely crossed the road. It just doesn't make sense.
In addition, it turned out that there was no request to impose a mandate on an older woman. Inspector Wojciech Pasieczny, retired traffic police officer in Warsaw, in an interview with o2.pl, noted that in this situation it was possible to simply instruct a woman. However, the officers decided to take half of her food money for being able to hazard herself in theory, although nothing bad truly happened. That's absurd.
