The coming year will be crucial for many regions in Poland, as on 1 January the bans on the usage of furnaces, popularly referred to as "cinders", enter into force. It is at midnight on the first day of the fresh year that the fresh regulations will apply in the area of half the territory of Poland.

- Pomeranian Voivodeship
- Silesian Voivodeship
- Greater Poland
- Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship.
Three further regions – Świętokrzyskie, Dolnośląskie and Małopolska – plan to introduce bans on Cinderellas in the spring or the second half of the coming year. The full ban on furnaces below class 5 will enter into force in 2028 throughout Poland.
Replacement of heating
