A symbolic and legal breakthrough has occurred in Polish political life. On Tuesday, December 3, 2025, the Constitutional Tribunal issued its final verdict in the case of the Communist organization of Polish (KPP). The judges ruled that the group's goals and activities are contrary to the Constitution of the Republic of Poland. This decision, which is the consequence of a motion by president Karol Nawrocki, ends a long-standing debate on the presence of groups referring to Marxism-Leninism in democratic Poland.The hearing, which sealed the destiny of the KPP, was chaired by the president of the Constitutional Tribunal, Bogdan Święczkowski, and the function of the judge-rapporteur was played by Krystyna Pawłowicz. The verdict means that the organization must vanish from the political map of the country immediately.
