Most of the Poles asked do not believe that Karol Nawrocki will establish good relations with Volodymyr Zelenski - according to the latest United Surveys poll. Only a small over a 4th of all respondents hope to improve relations on the Warsaw - Kiev line.
Karol Nawrocki is another Polish president who, during talks on Ukraine, has the chance to contact Volodymyr Zelenski.
The United Surveys poll commissioned by Virtual Poland asked how Poles feel about cooperation between leaders.
Cooperation between Nawrocki and Zelenski. Most have no hope
"Do you think that president Karol Nawrocki will establish good relations with the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenski?" - there was a question answered on October 10-13 by a 1000 people.
The answer "strongly yes" chose 0.1% of respondents, and 27.3% of respondents estimated that Nawrocki would "make good relations with the Ukrainian leader". A full of 27.4% of Poles asked expressed hope of improving relations.
In turn, 47 percent of respondents believe that "there will be no improvement" on the Warsaw - Kiev line, and another 9.3% say so decisively. In total, this gives 56.3% of Poles who have negative visions of cooperation between presidents.

The remaining 16.3 percent could not take sides. This means that Almost 1 in six people selected the option "I don't know/I don't have an opinion".
Differences in the survey according to political preferences
By political preference you can see any differences between different groups. Among the voters of the ruling coalition (e.g. KO and 3rd Way) 22 percent of people see the chances of successful building better relations, and 61% reject this scenario. The remaining 17 percent have no opinion.
On the another hand, 36% of opposition voters (PiS and Confederacy) look at this goal with optimismWhile 50% are skeptical. The answer "I don't have an opinion" was chosen by 14 percent.

President Karol Nawrocki stressed almost from the beginning of his word of office the request to settle common threads from the past of Poland and Ukraine. Historical conditions became an crucial issue of building Warsaw's relation with Kiev. Despite the invitation from Ukraine, president Nawrocki has not yet come with an authoritative delegation.
