The problem of replacing the age-old, and in its function present almost completely useless, Mi-24D/In Air Force Landing helicopters seems to be close a happy ending. In the Kruk Strike chopper program, the final fight, and fundamentally a gunfight, will be played between Bell AH-1Z Viper and Boeing AH-64E Apache Guardian machines. Each represents a somewhat different concept of operation and use.
