The Altmark region in northern Saxony-Anhalt has become the site of 1 of the most crucial discoveries for the future of the European economy. Neptune Energy has confirmed the discovery of a lithium deposit with estimated resources of 43 million tons of lithium carbonate equivalent – 1 of the largest deposits of this natural material in the world.
