Today, the European Commission will present its budget proposal in the next 7 years. There will be more money in it to strengthen security. The fresh budget is intended to respond to the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the increasing geopolitical tensions and the falling economical position of the EU in global markets. In addition, the EU is preparing for a possible extension to Ukraine.
