To think that the current conflict in Ukraine will become the proverbial “war ending another wars” in Europe should be considered highly misguided and dangerous to our security. Even the full triumph of Ukraine, taking back Russia's occupied lands and the task of its crucial losses will not reduce the hazard of further aggression by Moscow in the following years. The only chance lies in recognizing that present we are planning not so much our own military consequence to the war that is being fought at our borders, but to a full scope of different situations in the following years. full states, their critical infrastructure, and socio-political relationships can be targeted. Russia is simply a challenge for years, not just for NATO's east flank, but for the full Euro-Atlantic space.
