In April 1945, as a consequence of the negotiations conducted by the global and Swedish and Danish Red Cross (through Hr. F. Bernadotte), about 7,500 female prisoners, including Polish women, were transported to Sweden. Among these Poles was the household of my parent Jadwiga Sadowska: my grandma Maria and her 3 daughters – Jadwiga, Antonina and Zofia. They went through Pawiak due to the fact that there was an AK dressing point at my grandmother's house. They were fortunate, as a large part of the remaining prisoners in Ravensbruck – after Red Army was liberated – were taken into russian Russia...
Of course, neither my late mother, her parent and 2 sisters received any compensation from the Germans. Resignation of compensations by communists, Donald Tusk and his junta – forever places the Szkopian and russian curls among the collaborators and traitors of the Homeland.
