Territorials bring aid after an accident on the tracks

Today after 1.00 a.m. in the village of Jaroszowa Wola in Podwarszawska, a freight train derailed from Szczecin-Chełm. In 35 tanks, diesel was transported. 9 cars fell out of the tracks. Six of them fell off the embankment. Firefighters work on site with the support of Railway defender officers, policemen and soldiers of territorial defence troops.

Firefighters are preparing to tow those wagons that have not been derailed after the tank spills are excluded. Experts working on the site initially stated that the likely origin of the accident could be a failure of the traction network due to low temperatures. The circumstantial findings will be learned from the investigation carried out by the State Railway Accident Investigation Commission.

The derailment of diesel tanks caused difficulties in the movement of trains of the Mazowieckie Railways. The Communication issued by KM warns passengers that certain trains may be delayed, cancelled or shortened.
