According to a draft published on 17 February 2026, the fresh regulations will replace the current regulation, which expires on 4 March 2026. The Home Office does not plan to change the territorial scope of the region – it will cover the same area as before. The residence ban will be introduced for a period of 90 days from the date of entry into force of the regulations, which is from 5 March 2026.
