The Management Board of the Old Town Settlement invites residents to an open gathering with Deputy president of the City of Poznań, Mariusz Wiśniewski, and representatives of city units, including PIM and ZDM, dedicated to the reconstruction of the Chrobry Bridge - 1 of the key investments affecting the functioning of both the centre of Poznań and the full city.

"The gathering will discuss issues specified as traffic organisation, public transport, work schedule, information activities and the impact of investment on the environment and public space" - informs Tomasz Dworek of the Old Town Settlement Council.

"Chrobry Bridge is simply a strategical communication hub. Renovation on specified a large scale is not only a method challenge, but besides a question of social dialogue, planning taking into account the needs of residents and real communication support during change. We believe that the active participation of residents in this process can contribute to a better final effect - both functional and social" -

Poznań City Investments in March announced a tender for the reconstruction of the Chrobry Bridge. In mid-June, the contractor of this investment was elected. If everything goes as planned, the work is due to begin in the fall. The task of building the Chrobry Bridge was entrusted to Primost South, which made an offer of PLN 113 million - well below the city's 160 million. The investment is expected to take 3 years.
