On 9 October 2025, a shooting workshop organized by the 5th Mazowiecka Territorial Defence Brigade and the 1st Warsaw Armored Brigade was held at the weapon scope of the Military Institute of Armed Forces in Zielonka. A full of respective twelve soldiers took part in the training, including representatives of the WOT brigade and the Navy – 3 Fleet Ships. The aim of the training was to rise fire, tactical and psychophysical skills in the context of conducting precise actions in the field of combat.
Classes conducted by experienced 5 Mazowiecka BOT instructors included shooting at average and long distances, observing and identifying targets, teamwork on sniper-spotter lines, and weather and threat analysis. The targets were at a distance of up to 2 kilometres. Additionally, soldiers trained to lead fire to a moving target, which for any was the first experience of this kind of selection shooting.
The soldiers performed tasks with guns that were equipped with WOT, operational troops and the Navy, i.e. SAKO (TRG M10, TRG 22), BOR, TOR. Self-repeated GROT 7.62N - the latest weapon utilized by soldiers including 5MBOT and 1WBPanc. This was 1 of the first shootings from the fresh GROT installment and an chance to familiarize the shooters with its capabilities.
What is worth noting - all 4 battalions of the 5th Mazowiecka BOT have sections of snipers and sharpshooters in structure, and equipping them with state-of-the-art weaponry, which includes GROT 7.62N, importantly increases the capabilities of conflict divisions.
- I'm sorry. This year has already brought respective shooting trainings and respective groups, including a polygonal group in Ustka for Brigade soldiers. We have 2 more major ventures ahead of us. Thanks to the cooperation and exchange of experience, which started during, among others, sniper workshops on a naval ship in which we were able to participate, we enter fresh directions of action and gain fresh experience in working with precision weapons on various levels. In this training, “the land has joined forces with the sea”, the safety layers are built to act as 1 organism. – summarized the teacher from the 5th Mazovia Territorial Defence Brigade
