Deputy abroad Minister Andrzej Szejna will stay on free leave until the end of July. His future in the ministry of diplomacy remains uncertain due to ongoing controversy over the clearing of kilometres and problems with verification by the ABW. Government reconstruction planned at the end of July could bring a resolution on this matter.
Ministry of abroad Affairs spokesperson Paweł Wroński informed the Polish Press Agency that the leave of Deputy Minister Andrzej Szejna was extended. «Minister Szejna is on extended free leave until the end of July" - said the MFA spokesman.
When asked about Szejna's future in the hotel and possible changes during government reconstruction, Wronski replied that the information we will learn “when he announces issues related to the reconstruction of the government Prime Minister Donald Tusk”. On the question of a possible farewell, Szejna and the Ministry replied: “I do not know”.
Fighting for the Vice Minister
According to PAP's origin in the Ministry of Diplomacy, the removal of Szejna from the Ministry of abroad Affairs during the reconstruction of the government is requested by Prime Minister Donald Tusk and head of the MFA Radosław Sikorski. However, the position of Deputy Minister is to be defended by Deputy Marshal of the Sejm and co-chair of the fresh Left Vladimir Czarzasta.

Response by Prime Minister and Minister
At the time, the Deputy Minister assured that “he had faced the problem of alcohol abuse” and regained control of health. He besides assured about the correct accounting of miles.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk asked the head of the MFA to leave Szejna and «an urgent explanation of the substance in all aspect». Sikorski stressed in April that “many will depend on the result of an extended audit by the ABW”.
Changes in MFA management
In mid-June, Sikorski handed Marcin Bosacki a nomination for the position of Secretary of State in the MFA. Bosacki replaced Jakub Wiśniewski as head of the Wacław Felczak Institute of Polish-Hungarian Cooperation.
Government spokesperson Adam Sz Trapka announced on Monday that the reconstruction of the government would take place during the next session of the Sejm scheduled from July 22 to 25. He added that the changes would be structural and individual and would velocity up the government's work.
