On Sunday afternoon, the administrators of the Facebook profile of the Warsaw territory of Wola reminded that from Monday 29 September in the full city capital may surprise the sound of alarm sirens.

"These tests are related to the reception of upgraded SAOL strategy alarm points (The Alert and People's informing System). The inclusions are designed to verify the correctness of their operation and should not be treated as informing signals" - we read in the message.
The test action will run from 29 September (Monday) to 3 October (Friday). Serenas can cry from 8:00 to afternoon hours.
Let us add that this is not the first specified tests and communications. In mid-September any sirens were besides launched in Warsaw for a fewer seconds to check the correct operation of the alleged Alarm Points. At the time, the signals were not related to any real threat. "Locals are asked to stay calm and not take any action in consequence to the short test run of sirens" appealed the service.
The Germans have been checking their systems lately.
Our western border was besides tested in September. As was then reported, local residents located close the border with Germany were able to receive messages in German.
"A test informing message will be given as part of the exercise on all German mobile telephone networks. Due to the signal range, it is possible to receive this message besides in Poland, especially in the border region with Germany" - the communication states.
For the record: the real alarm to the population is announced with a 3-minute modulated signal (variable), while its cancellation means a 3-minute continuous signal.
