The 4th Warmian-Masurian Territorial Defence Brigade represented 3rd place in the WOT volleyball championships played in Gorzów Wielkopolski. This is another sporting success of the Warmian-Masurian territories and a pass to the competitions of the 4W-MBOT players at the higher levels of the competition.
The squad staged by 4W-MBOT won the 3rd place challenge against the 3rd Podkarpackie OT Brigade. At the highest phase of the podium were the hosts of the tournament – the squad of the 15th Lubuskie OT Brigade. The second place came to last year's winners - volleyball players from the 14th West Pomeranian OT Brigade.
- I'm sorry. The first set we won, the second 1 we unfortunately returned and met in tie-break and unfortunately in the end, leading already, these 2 points decided to win 14 West Pomeranian BOT – said Lt. Matthew, squad manager from Warmia and Mazury.
Last year, athletes from 4-WMBOT took second place. After the last struggle, they announce that in the next edition of the competition they will get the missing, highest place of the podium.
The WOT Volleyball Championships are part of the athletics competition in the formation, lasting year-round. The best-performing players later represent WOT in the struggles at the level of the full Armed Forces. Participation in sports competitions is part of training soldiers – physical fitness plays a fundamental function in it.
