Stronger rules for temporary protection for Ukrainian refugees in the EU

Ambassadors of the associate States of the European Union present made a preliminary decision to extend temporary protection for those fleeing Russian aggression to Ukraine. Protection will be extended until 4 March 2028, but with a crucial limitation – exclusion from the mechanics of men of conscripting age.
