Stricter temporary protection rules for refugees from Ukraine in the EU

The ambassadors of the European Union associate states present took a preliminary decision to extend temporary protection for people fleeing the Russian aggression against Ukraine. The protection will be extended until 4 March 2028, but with a crucial limitation – the exclusion of men of conscription age from the mechanism.
