Controlled by Iran, the Ormuz Strait, connecting the Persian Gulf with the arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean, is 1 of the most crucial points of global energy trade – around 20 percent of global oil and LNG supplies pass through. Following Saturday attacks by the U.S. and Israel, the Iranian Revolutionary defender (IRGC) issued communications that no ships were allowed to enter the strait, causing at least 150 tankers and another units to moor or await both of its entrances.
