Today, 37% of adult Americans justice Trump's presidency positively and 63% negatively – including half by far critically, which is the weakest consequence in this term. 2 thirds of respondents besides negatively measure the way Trump handles inflation and the situation around Iran.
Although he inactive enjoys very advanced support among his own voters, there is simply a slight weakening among Republicans – now 83% of them approve (by 4 percent points little than at the beginning of the year) and the percent of decisive support fell from 58% to 52%.
Economy and inflation
Only 1 3rd of Americans think the country is heading in the right direction, while 2 thirds are against it. That's the worst score since Trump took office again. The most crucial problem remains the economy, with 29% of respondents pointing to it. Threats to democracy (24%), wellness (12%) and safety and crime (10%) are next.
When asked about the most urgent economical challenges, respondents most frequently pointed to inflation and maintenance costs – as much as 45% considered them crucial, clearly more frequently than another issues. At the same time, only 32% of Americans are affirmative about Trump's actions in this area, while 68% are critical of them (including 52% decisively). More and more people are besides experiencing a deterioration in their financial situation – 40% say it is worse than a year ago.
Americans don't want war.
Foreign policy assessments, including those related to the mediate East conflict, have not changed significantly. In the course of the study, about a 3rd of respondents expressed their approval for the President's actions in this regard.
Political divisions are besides clear: almost all Democrats and 82% of independent voters are critical of Trump's way of conducting the conflict, while 74% of Republicans support it.
Most adult Americans (61%) believe that the United States should no longer engage militarily in Iran. On the another hand, 23% of respondents are in favour of considering all possible scenarios, including the usage of land troops, and 16% let to continue, but only in the form of raids. Even more clear opposition to further escalation can be seen among young people – as many as 74% under the age of 30 are opposed to further U.S. military action in Iran.
