On 5 September, during the XXXII global Defence manufacture Salon in Kielce, WB Group informed about the establishment of the Space Technology Centre. This is another initiative of the Polish industry, which aims to accomplish technological sovereignty in the space manufacture with a focus on reflection and communication capabilities.

The Centre for Space Technology will be established within RADMOR in Gdynia. The lifting of satellites will give Poland independence, this solution will be full controlled by the Polish Armed Forces. no of the service providers will be able to restrict or disable the available functionality. The proposed solution is complementary, it fits into the assumptions of the Polish space strategy and is simply a improvement and complement to the current programmes.

The first phase of the improvement of the Space Technology Centre will be to supply continuous access to surface reflection data Earth 24 hours a day no substance the weather. This requires a constellation of reconnaissance satellites utilizing artificial aperture radars.

The SAR (Synthetic-Aperture Radar) radar allows to get images of motionless objects with advanced differentiation. A short physical antenna, combined with the Doppler rule and appropriate signal processing methods, simulates a long real antenna.

Radars with artificial aperture are utilized to make surface images of the site, due to the penetration of the microwave beam by clouds, independency in obtaining images from sunlight and the ability to penetrate obstacles in the form of environmental objects.

Getting information about changes in the position of the enemy's forces, specified as movements of his troops, requires the shortest time between the next images of the same place (the alleged review time).

Therefore, for strictly military applications, respective or more satellites are needed, not a single orbiter. For the region of Central and east Europe, a constellation of at least sixteen satellites is required to supply a review time of 60 minutes.

The Center for Space Technology plans to accomplish strategical security, although existing solutions – Polish and external – will be utilized in the first phase of development, with the gradual introduction of full technology transfer.

The strategy developed by the Center for Space Technology is designed to be modern. This is simply a world-class solution combined with unique Polish cryptography. The task will establish a ground-control station to manage the mission and guarantee that the data are received in a seamless manner.

The Space Technology Center is considering acquiring technology from respective different partners. Hence the signing of an agreement between WB Group (WB Electronics S.A., RADMOR S.A. and WB Center of Composites) and Hanwha Systems, which explores common business opportunities and promotes marketing activities, at the XXXII global Defence manufacture Salon.
