During night exercises on the embodiment square in Załuski close Nidzica (warmia-mazurskie) after the rotation of the wheeled armored transporter Rosomak was killed by a soldier, and the another was somewhat wounded. The injured has already left the infirmary - said the spokesperson for the 16th Mechanized Division, Captain Karol Frankowski.
As Captain Frankowski stated in the announcement, there was an accident around midnight in the practice area in Załuski close Nidzica, during the night-time adaptation drive. “The accident occurred during the programme classes” - added.
After Rosomak's transporter collapsed, A soldier of the 16th Mechanized Division was killed. A second soldier was somewhat injured and went to hospital. He has already left the infirmary and his life is not in danger - the spokesperson said.
The household of the deceased soldier was helped. The Commission will explain all the causes of the accident. The investigation is conducted by the Military Police Department of Elbląg - said Captain Karol Frankowski.
According to military art, the commander of the Rosomaka occupies a seat on the vehicle turret and observes the area and the road and has direct communication with the vehicle driver, who is inside and besides has full visibility.
