In the face of the threat of Russian rockets in the royal region Poland and Germany should join forces – says the head of Polish diplomacy. He adds that strengthening the Bundeswehr does not rise any concerns in Poland.


According to Polish abroad minister Radosław Sikorski, Poland and Germany should join forces to counter the threat posed by Russian rockets located in the royal circuit. The minister called it "an urgent Polish-German challenge".

Sikorski has no fear of the Bundeswehr


In an interview with DPA, PAP and AFP news agencies, Sikorski estimated that the plans of the fresh German government for the reinforcement of the Bundeswehr did not rise any concerns in Poland.

– We are good allies and we must build armed forces that will not scare anyone, but scare Putin," he said.

"German indecision would be worse"


The DPA agency recalls that Poland, located on the east edge of NATO, has been strengthening its army for years due to the fact that it feels threatened by Russia. In Germany Chancellor Friedrich Merz late announced the creation of the strongest conventional army in Europe.

– I have already said this in my yearly speech in Parliament: as long as Germany is in NATO and the EU, I fear more than the German army the German hesitation on arms. I inactive think so – said Sikorski.

Russia has deployed Iskander ballistic missiles in the royal circuit, which, with a scope of up to 500 kilometres, can scope Warsaw, Berlin and Copenhagen, match DPA.

When asked about the course of the last NATO summit in Copenhagen, Sikorski stated that the gathering was fruitful and that he observed a change in the U.S. approach to the war in Ukraine.

– I think president Trump understood that Russia did not want to end the war, that Ukraine unconditionally agreed to the ceasefire and that Russia was blocking it," said the Polish minister.
