According to CEP, the discovery could be groundbreaking. The company described them as "the largest conventional oil discovery in Polish past and 1 of the largest in Europe".

According to the data provided by the company, 1 well contains about 5 billion cubic meters of gas and 22 million tons of oil. full resources in the "Volin" concession are expected to scope 27 billion cubic metres of gas and 33 million tons of oil.

Oil and natural gas deposits have been discovered. Radosław Sikorski comments

The country's chief geologist Krzysztof Galos estimated that the discovery of deposits in the Baltic could be "one of the breakthrough moments in the past of hydrocarbon exploration in Poland". “If this discovery is yet confirmed, Wolin East deposits can become the largest oil and natural gas deposits discovered in Poland so far”, said Galos, quoted by the paper portal.pl.

In his opinion, this will importantly increase the energy safety of our country and reduce Poland's dependence on external suppliers.

This discovery has caused a stir in the media. The head of the MFA Radosław Sikorski responded to the information. In a short entry on the X platform he referred to respective loud events of fresh days.

"Sławosz flies into space, Iga wins Wimbledon, the Union predicts a car of money for Poland, and now this," wrote the head of the MFA. And he added, "God seems to love the government of KO-PSL-PL2050-Left".

Sikorski thus referred, among another things, to the preliminary assumptions of the EU budget for the period 2028–2034, according to which Poland could receive as much as EUR 123.3 billion – the most of all EU countries. The second order of France will be EUR 90.1 billion.

Poland can scope EUR 123.3 billion

As we wrote on Temat.pl, this information was provided by government spokesperson Adam Szpieczka. Nearly 48% of the EU budget, which will amount to EUR 2 trillion, will go to the associate States. Money will be spent primarily on agriculture, cohesion, maritime and home affairs.

However, before funds are allocated, the budget must be adopted unanimously by the Council of the European Union and approved by the European Parliament. In order for the draft to become an existing budget, the Council must vote unanimously. The European Parliament will later support it. Only then will it enter into force.
