Sienkiewicz utilized a colorful term. This is about Tusk-Nawrocki relations

Former Minister of Culture and Euro MP KO Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz bitterly summed up the political situation in our country. He referred to the future cooperation of President-elect Karol Nawrocki with Prime Minister Donald Tuski.


In a fewer days, from 6 August, we will have a fresh president in Poland. Supported by the Law and Justice Karol Nawrocki had already announced a decisive policy towards Donald Tusk's government. The Prime Minister besides does not hide that "cooperation with the Presidential Palace may be difficult".

Sienkiewicz on government relations with the president. He says "cold war"


Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz has late spoken on TVN24. He stressed that the current situation resembles the "cold war" in Polish politics.

– The word "war office" appeared in the media. It's a good metaphor, it's bearable, but on the another hand, I want to say that we actually have a war situation. We have a cold war in Poland, inside political. And we have an increasingly heated war on the east border of Poland – said Sienkiewicz, adding that the stableness of the country depends on a fast consequence to events.

– This is the reality of Donald Tusk's office. The firmness, the fast consequence to events, actually depends on the fundamental stableness of our country. We're no exception here. Everyone looks at us," he said.

– I hope that president Nawrocki will realize that what he says to the inside besides has consequences at the Polish borders [...] I am counting on it, and I think it is worth this credit of common sense to assume, due to the fact that if the president is simply a force that will destruct Poland from the inside, just as the Russians do at the borders, it is simply a black script – said the KO MEP.

Let us remind you that late Nawrocki's words about contact with Tuski were echoed. The president-elect asked whether he planned a gathering with the Prime Minister, confessed that it might be necessary, but he is not in a hurry.

– I don't regulation out a gathering like this. Although you may not be amazed that I am not rushing to meet Prime Minister Donald Tuski, whom I consistently consider the worst Prime Minister after 1989. But Poles anticipate that the president and the Prime Minister will talk and cooperate on issues that are crucial to our national community," Nawrocki said.
