Senator Kwiatkowski and erstwhile MP Bury convicted of filling positions in NIK

On Friday, the territory Court of Warsaw issued a judgement in a loud case concerning filling positions in the ultimate Chamber of Control (NIK). 2 politicians Krzysztof Kwiatkowski (senator, erstwhile NIK president) and Jan Bury (former MP) were convicted of abuse of power in connection with competitions for advanced positions in the Chamber in 2013. The judgement may have far-reaching consequences for the image of NIK and the strategy of filling public posts.
