In the Sejm the beginning ceremony of the exhibition and the Prime Minister of the study summarising the nationwide task of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP) "Every talent for the weight of gold – inclusive in employment".
The event brought together representatives of state authorities, parliament, social organisations and business. Among the participants were the Marshal of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia, Aleksandra Gajewska and Katarzyna Nowakowska – Vice-Min. Families, Labour and Social Policy, Vice-Presidents. wellness Urszula Demkov, as well as parliamentarians, representatives of companies and NGOs active in the project.
A modern economy cannot afford to waste its potential
The IPP task was created in consequence to the challenges of labour marketplace transformation, demographic change and increasing shortage of skilled workers. Its aim was to make applicable solutions and recommendations to support the employment of people whose professional possible is besides frequently overlooked – women returning to the labour marketplace after a parental break, people with chronic diseases, seniors and alleged silvers, as well as neurodiversities.
– Today's event is not about helping. This is an event about dignity and the fact that the modern economy cannot afford to waste its potential," said Jakub Bińkowski, associate of the board of the ZPP during the opening. "We have developed concrete, realistic proposals together, based on the experience of respective twelve actors. This study is not a theory. That's the voice of the labour market. – added Emilia Szczukowska, task coordinator.
The exhibition is available in the Polish Parliament for the next fewer days
As part of the project, 5 meetings were organised in circular tables, involving 9 companies, 18 social organisations, 4 HR experts, 14 parliamentarians and 6 representatives of government and local authorities.
A study combining the analysis of barriers with a catalogue of good practice and legislative recommendations was made publically available today. It is accompanied by an exhibition which is available in the Polish Parliament for the next fewer days, allowing all parliamentarian to learn about the stories and experiences of people affected by exclusion from the labour market.
Education and awareness are key to building empathy
Pos. Isabella Bodnar (Poland 2050), chair of the Parliamentary Subcommittee on Entrepreneurship, beginning the exhibition, said: "We believe that education and awareness are the key to building empathy. This exhibition we're beginning present with the ZPP study is the starting point where the people's stories are centered. People we should always look at through the prism of possible alternatively than deficits or differences. The ZPP task is an initiative that shows that inclusion in employment is not fashion – it is simply a necessity and strategical investment in the future of the full economy.
