The European Union's decision to impose sanctions on Russia under the 18th package did not precisely appeal to China. Reason? Beijing says sanctions hit Chinese companies. The Chinese authorities are threatening that this will have a "serious negative impact" on bilateral economical and financial relations. Beijing announced that "necessary measures should be taken".
