Russian troops again reached for a customized tactic, attempting to penetrate the rear of Ukrainian positions through a gas pipeline in the Sumse Oblast. The operation, supported by a parallel motorcycle attack, was nevertheless rapidly detected and thwarted by Ukrainian forces.
