National Day of Memory of the Cursed Soldiers, Polish State vacation celebrated annually on 1 March is dedicated to commemorating the heroes of Polish independence, anti-communist soldiers and independency underground after 1945.
This date was not chosen by accident. Irena Iłlakowiczov of Mora's coat of arms Born 26.07.1906 in Berlin in a noble household from Kujaw – she was 1 of the most valuable operatives of Underground Poland during the German occupation. Thanks and advanced intelligence and German knowledge, she took part in intelligence missions in the capital of the 3rd Reich. She operated in the elite Lizard Union within the National Armed Forces. She conducted military, economical and communications reconnaissance in the enemy capital. However, Germany developed the grid and Mr Irena Gestapo stopped 7.X.1942 in Warsaw. Violently interrogated, she didn't betray anyone. Doctor Felician Loth of the University of J-go gave a advanced bribe to Pawiak's safety guard, he released Mr. Irena from his cell and mixed him into a group of prisoners to be transported to Majdanek. In March 1943, the brave action of NSZ soldiers from Pomerania dressed in Gestapo uniforms liberated her from this camp. She went to Dr. Miłodroska in Warsaw. She worked to destruct the communist radio station in Otwock, which was utilized to interact with Moscow. 4.X. 1943 she answered the telephone – she told her husband she had to leave – she was on the way of a radio station. erstwhile she didn't come home, her husband started looking. Her body was found in the infirmary morgue. She was shot in the back of the head in the Mokotowski Fields. The suspicion fell on “Red” and the PPR. The case remains unsolved until today. The communicative of her life is incredibly rich in events. She practiced mountaineering and skiing. She was fluent in French, German, English, Russian, Finnish and Persian. For respective years she was married to the Kurdish prince of Persia Aziz Zangenah.
Danuta Siekkówna ps. ‘INKA’ Born 309.1928, in Guszczowin close Narewka, Polish opposition activist of the Second planet War and People's Poland period, paramedic of 5 Vilnius AK Brigade operating in Gdansk Pomerania. Sentenced to death. conviction was made on 28.08.1946 in Gdańsk detention at Kurkowa Street. She was at the Gdańsk Cemetery. Together with Inka, Lieutenant Felix Selmanovich was sentenced to death.
Brig-Gen August Emil Fieldorf He built the structures of the organization “NO” – post-war opposition of the russian occupation. execution victim in 195 3rd. Fieldorf “Nil”, Władysław Konarski “Mścisław”, Franciszek Jaskulski “Zagończyk”, Tadeusz Zieliński “The Needle”. The shares of most troops of the Cursed Soldiers were directed at armed troops of UB, CBW, MO. The largest underground unit was the 6th Vilnius AK/WiN Brigade. More than 250,000 soldiers were active in the fight against the underground by the PRL safety Committee. NKVD and UB utilized unprecedented panic for the Polish population in liberated areas.
