In fresh years, Wagner Group has importantly increased its presence in Africa, becoming an extension of Kremlin interests. Mercenaries engaged in many conflicts, trying to grow their influence and challenge Western countries. In order to accomplish this, the Wagners established relations with elected governments (juntes) offering military training, assistance in the fight against terrorism and ensuring the safety of the ruling, in exchange for political influence, ease of entry into the local marketplace and mining concessions.
