It has already been a year since the historical elections that elevated Donald Tusk and his coalition to power. Society hoped to see the settlement of the Law and Justice governments, which for 8 years violated the regulation of law and abused power. Tusk promised that the guilty would be held accountable, that Poland would return to the justice and regulation of law. Today, however, a year after the election, the public is getting louder and louder: "Where are the promised results?"
Where are the accounts?
Despite large promises, Poles do not see spectacular actions to settle the Law and Justice. Yes, there have been any symbolic accusations, investigations, or interrogations, but what if they only go to jail for "peel"? Key figures who were liable for the biggest scandals of the Law and Justice governments stay at large. Society does not see the people of the Law and Justice in prisons – neither Jarosław Kaczyński nor Daniel Obietek, nor another prominent figures of this government. Instead, Obietek mocks the European Parliament, and people like Łukasz Meyza and Dariusz Matecki are inactive sitting in the Sejm alternatively of bearing the consequences of their actions.
Ineffectiveness of prosecutors and courts
One of the key problems that concern society is the deficiency of efficiency of prosecutors and courts. Poles expected that after Zbigniew Ziobry left the ministry, the justice strategy would act smoothly and the guilty abuses of power would be rapidly tried. Unfortunately, in practice, the courts are inactive sluggish, with friendly politicians and the prosecution does not act with the momentum that would be needed to settle years of neglect and corruption in the Law and Justice governments. Was the individual exchange sufficient? Today, many people uncertainty that the fresh government is capable of effectively carrying out its accounts. An example is, for example, the scandalous case of lying to a territory lawyer from Bydgoszcz. That female is inactive a justice and a spokesman!
Meiza, Matecki and others inactive at large
Another disappointment is the deficiency of action against Members who have compromised the institutions of the state in their political activities. Mejza, known for his scandalous actions and suspicions of corruption, is inactive on the Sejm bench. Matecki, the PiS propagandaist, spreading disinformation, besides remains intact. The public expected specified persons to be expelled from parliament and brought to justice. Many voters besides criticise any of the personnel decisions of the fresh government. The appointment of Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz as Minister of Culture (to leave the case of public media, to expel the liquidator who wanted to account for the Law and Justice) and Adam Bodnar as Minister of Justice (inability and affluence to the Law and Justice) are steps which rise doubts. Yes, they are people who are well-founded from the past, but present the effects of their work are primarily important. And these, unfortunately, leave a lot to be desired. Was Tusk betting on the incorrect people? Society starts asking this question more and more often.
Tomasz Siemoniak does not control CBA or ABW
The peculiar services are full of PiS people who run their own games in them. It takes an iron hand to fight it and strangle it in the bud. Unfortunately, Tomasz Siemoniak does not control the services that the minister plays as they please. An example is the appointment to head of the CBA. The individual who held a advanced position for Wąsik and Kamiński in this position is simply a disgrace to the minister.
The request for efficiency, not symbolism
Today, a year after the elections, Poles no longer anticipate words or promises. They anticipate concrete action. They anticipate the guilty to be held accountable, that the state institutions will act effectively and that the justice strategy will cease to be sluggish. This is no time for symbolic gestures or political compromises. Society demands a real settlement of the governments of the Law and a regain of religion in the state.
