Anniversary of the death of Tadeusz Holówka

Today is the 95th anniversary of the death of Tadeusz Holówka (born Semipalatynsk, 1889) – politician, publicist, close associate of Marshal Pilsudski, besides Ataman Petlura, a large supporter of the agreement between Poles and Ukrainians and a key activist of the Promethean movement.

Hołówko was an activist of the Union for the Context of the Revival Nations and co-founder of the Institute for investigation of global Affairs and the east Institute in Warsaw. He advocated Poland's cooperation with the peoples of east Europe and supporting their aspirations for independence.

On 29 August 1931, he was murdered by Ukrainian nationalists, during his remainder with Greek Catholic nuns in Truskawiec.

The thought of cooperation and dialog with east Europe, to which Tadeusz Hołówko paid tribute, present refers to the activity of the Warsaw University of east Europe.
