Swiatlana Cichanouska met with the president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe PACE, Theodoros Roussopoulos during her visit to Luxembourg and addressed ministers of all the countries of the Council of Europe at the session of the Committee of Ministers, reports the Cichanousk office.
During the discussion with Rusopoulos Cichanouska, she discussed the strategical cooperation of the democratic forces of Belarus with the Council of Europe, as well as the creation of a mechanics for monitoring the implementation of Luxembourg's decisions, the anticipation of legal analysis of the draft constitution of the fresh Belarus and the request to bring Lukashenko to justice in a peculiar tribunal.
Speaking to ministers of the Council of Europe, Cichanouska stressed the importance of unity, support for people and courage in defence of democracy.
“First: let us stay united — in the name of the values we all share. These values make Europe strong. We must be united across Europe and on both sides of the Atlantic.
Secondly, people should be supported. Build bridges, not walls. Military force alone means nothing without people willing to defend freedom. And three: let's be brave. Be brave. Support Ukraine. Beat Putin. Bring Lukashenko to justice. We request to defend our democracies and aid those who are inactive fighting for their own," said the leader of the Belarusian democratic forces.
