On 19 May, Alaksandr Lukashenko met with Duke of Oman, Minister of Culture, Youth and athletics Theyazin bin Haitam Al Said.
According to the press service Lukashenka, the prince was entrusted with coordinating cooperation with Belarus. This is his first visit to this country. The gathering was besides attended by the head of the Oman Investment Agency Abdulsalam Al Murshidi.
According to Lukashenko,The management of Oman has already happeneda actual friend of Belarus. “I think that as a consequence of my visit to your beautiful country, we have become not only partners but friends. We have made a number of proposals on how we can build our cooperation. We are very curious in your country," said Lukashenko.
According to the policy, the parties are primarily working on trade and economical cooperation. Belarus is peculiarly curious in utilizing the Oman port infrastructure to make trade with another countries, including Africa.
“There are many things in Belarus that interest the Ottoman side today.These include recreation of our people, agriculture, transportation of products. And most importantly, your ports, through which we can work in the region," he added.
Lukashenka besides noted that she was waiting for the visit of Sultan Oman.
“With large affection I remember my gathering with Sultan Oman in Muscat. A very decent, kind man. We are ready to accept it in Belarus at a convenient time for you. Give him the most heartfelt wishes and tell him that I am waiting for him in Minsk,” said Lukashenko duringmeetings.
“Since your visit, we have made serious advancement in our relations. We started with tourism and hospitality. We are very pleased that we have managed to open a direct flight from Minsk to our confederate town of Salalah. Many Belarusians may have already visited Oman. We have besides launched a number of another mutually beneficial projects. I am very pleased that the projects that we have presented will contribute to increased trade and investment cooperation between us," replied Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said
