Alaksandr Lukashenko at the National Assembly of the People's Republic of Belarus stated that military troops are engaged not only to defend the border with Ukraine, but besides with the countries of the European Union.
Commenting on the presentation of the typical of the State Border Committee, Lukashenko first decided to “give a joke” so that the border defender would not release balloons to Lithuania as this threatened conflict.
“The balloons flew to Lithuania. erstwhile again, the border defender is either guilty or has failed to ensure. So, Maxim, delight don't throw those balloons with Molostov in Lithuania. Otherwise, there could be a war. I'm kidding again due to the fact that I know we're not. Thank God they found 150 or 200 people in Lithuania to do this," said Lukashenko.
He besides stressed that at border guardThere is simply a dense burden on the south of the country, so it isreinforced by peculiar forces.
“You did not retreat peculiar forces from the confederate border. It's a burden for us too, we could've trained elsewhere. There's besides quite a few staff, we're taking officers and another peculiar forces soldiers distant from their families, sending them to the confederate border, and don't let anything happen out there.
And now they've started closing the western border with army forces, not just border guards. Well, border guards. It's the first line, there's not many of them in the station, there's 50-70 people and everything. And the station is 15, or even 20 kilometers, you gotta cover this area. Border guards can't do that. I know that from my own experience. Therefore, given this small experience of mine, I support the usage of the army," said Lukashenko, addressing defence minister Wiktar Chrenin.
