Zbigniew Ziobro did not appear in court on December 22. The gathering on the request for the arrest of the erstwhile minister began at around 10 a.m., but a break was ordered after little than an hour, as the political representatives applied to postpone the meeting.

In his opinion, it is "the powerful accumulation of the shame of the Żurek". He meant Waldemar Żurek, the current head of the Justice Ministry.
He even reacted first thing in the morning... to Ziobro himself. He informed of the submission of a notification of "a crime committed by Minister Waldemar Żurek, who, as a public officer, had grossly failed to fulfil his duties, which he acted to the detriment of the public and private interest, and additionally benefited from this external company. The Criminal Code in force in Article 231(2) provides for imprisonment of up to 10 years for specified offences".
“I presume that Mr Zbigniew Ziobro will absolutely not return to Poland (...), the decision of the court would hang in case he wanted to return”, said Bronisław Komorowski, who was asked about the Ziobra case in Radio Three.
And Minister Żurek has no uncertainty that Ziobro uses his illness instrumentally. He's starting a conflict of attacks on investigators. (...) – he stated in an interview with "Faktu".
Ziobra and 26 charges
Let us remind you that the National Prosecutor's Office's request concerns the application of a preventive measurement to Ziebra in the form of a temporary arrest for a period of 3 months from the date of detention (in order to safe the appropriate course of further policy proceedings).
The erstwhile Minister of Justice is to hear 26 allegations of irregularities surrounding the Justice Fund.
