On 19 February afternoon, the inaugural gathering of the Council of Peace, convened by Donald Trump, began. The president of the United States stressed at the start of his speech that this undertaking, which he is active in for a 100 percent and takes very seriously.
Later, however, Trump began to deviate somewhat from reality. He stated that "almost everyone accepted his invitation to the Council of Peace". “Those who do not yet accept it,” he said.
Let us add that according to preliminary media reports (TVN24) there are 49 representatives of the states on site, most of which as an observer. According to the U.S. Administration, invitations were sent to about 60 countries, and membership confirmed around 20.
The American politician continued to argue that he had "completed many wars" but the issue of the Gaza Strip, the first reason for the Council's establishment, remains to be full resolved.

Trump at the Council welcomed those representatives of states who joined the Council and flew to Washington. He did it in a very peculiar way. He definitely abused the word "great." He even told any people to stand up and show up.
Nor did he miss Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Let us add that the politician is preparing for the elections that were planned in his country in April. However, Orbán's support among Hungarians falls heavily. The latest polls show that Tisza's opposition party, led by the main rival Orbán, enjoys the support of 49 percent of voters. Only 39 percent of the Hungarians surveyed are ready to vote on Fidesz.
Trump decided to "save" a friend from Budapest. – Prime Minister Viktor Orbán from Hungary has my complete support before the elections in Hungary. Not everyone in Europe likes that. He's doing a large occupation on migration. There are countries that have caused themselves problems. Viktor, you have my full support – he declared.
Let us add that Trump's speech was a symbolic beginning of the Council. On the another hand, the main subject on which the members will start discussions is the Gaza recovery plan. The U.S. president has announced that the Peace Council countries have donated over $7 billion to the aid package. According to Trump, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore will besides rise money to aid Gaza. I think Russia is, too. FIFA will aid rise money for the peace process in Gaza – he mentioned.
Let us add that Poland rejected Trump's invitation. Despite this, Minister Marcin Przycz flew to Washington as an observer from the Chancellery of President.
