Putin: Russia develops fresh atomic weapons

Russian president Vladimir Putin announced that Russia is developing a fresh strategical atomic weapon. He besides stated that it was no problem if the United States did not extend the fresh START Treaty, the last arms control agreement to expire in February 2026. Putin's message at the summit in Dushanbe exacerbates tension, especially in the context of U.S. transportation of Tomahawk missiles in Ukraine.
